The pre-bid meeting, held as a live chat where suppliers ask under an alias.

Public sector buyers hold a pre-bid meeting before a tender opens. This application runs it as a scheduled chat on SAP BTP, linked to the SAP Ariba event. When the chat closes, the transcript is emailed to the buyer as a PDF.

How it runs

Scheduled from the sourcing event, closed with a transcript.

    Schedule

    Enter the event Doc ID, fetch the event from SAP Ariba and set the chat window.

    Invite

    Pull the invited suppliers from SAP Ariba or add email addresses. Each participant gets a link by email.

  3. 03
    Discuss

    The buyer answers by name. Each supplier asks under an alias, and everyone in the room sees the question and the answer.

  4. 04
    File

    When the chat closes, the transcript is emailed to the buyer as a PDF, to be filed against the SAP Ariba event.

Anonymous by design

Suppliers ask freely, because other bidders cannot see who asked.

The link between an alias and a supplier is visible only to holders of the Compliance Auditor role.

One room per sourcing event, open only for the chat window.

Participants join from the link in their invitation, with no SAP account needed. The link stops working when the chat ends.
